I have a Vortech Supercharger on my S2K. My gauge registers 5 pounds of boost. What do I do to raise the Boost?All how do I go about doing this so I don't blow my engine? If someone can help me I would appreciate it greatly.

 

Start by retensioning the supercharger belt and checking all the silicon hoses and hose clamps. Also check your boost gauge connection. You should see about 7psi or a little more with a stock Vortech kit.

If you want to add more boost than that(once you fix your current problems) you should get a smaller pulley (cost unknown), a smaller belt($10-$40), an AEM EMS stand alone fuel computer($1000-$1500), some new spark plugs($10-$20 for 4 NGK racing plugs that are one or two heat ranges colder than stock), and some big injectors(540-720cc $400-$600).

You should remove(and/or sell) the Vortech FMU, the map sensor voltage clamp, and the split second black box that came with the kit.

Then find a REALLY good AEM EMS tuner and start down the fun road of tuning it!
