Something else to think about is did they dink something up while doing the valve adjustment and now are trying to pass their mistake off on you with a new head.

I worked for a dealership (not Honda) and mechnic mistakes sometimes got passed off on customers as if they where already broken.

 

Ask to see results from a leakdown test if they are claiming bent valves.
