Default Need some help =(

When I installed an AEM CAI, there was a sensor which has 2 electrical wire and 2 vacuum lines. I made a mistake and not secure the 2 vacuum line, the tip of the vacuum line and a piece of the sensor grind against the belt. The CEL came on and i saw it. Now i don't know where I can get the sensor. If you guys know what I am talking about please help me out. I don't want to bring it to the dealer because I afraid that they would void my warranty.

Why don't you just go to any dealer and order one. I think this is what you're talking about:

It's called a secondary air control solenoid.

That is exactly what I am talking about. Do you think it would void my warranty?

It's replacement sure won't be covered by the warranty.

Yeah thanks xviper. I was wondering if you have a post on all the sensors and so I can look at and learn. Because I really really want to learn more about this car.

There are a lot of sensors on this car, so nope, I've not documented them all. If you go to the FAQ section at the top of the "Technical" sub-forum of UTH, you'll see lots of links to threads that will teach you lots of stuff about this car.

As for this solenoid, you should just order one, put it on and reset the ECU to get rid of the CEL. In fact, before you go off and order a new solenoid, you should check the vacuum lines that go into that solenoid. The solenoid might be OK and only the vacuum lines are leaking. Carefully pull off each hose (one at a time so you don't get them mixed up) and cut off about an inch of the end that is damaged and put it back on. When you've done both, reset the CEL (that's in the FAQ's too).

ps. The thing in question (in the pic) is not a sensor. It's a solenoid. There are other sensors that can tell if this solenoid and vacuum hoses are not functioning right.
