I'm trying to put together my coilovers and wanted to know if there is a specific tool I need to tighten the top mount onto the shock shaft. See picture.
Tightening the top nut is no problem, but you need to hold the shaft with something. On the stock shocks its an allen head. With these, do I just use an open end wrench (8mm was too big so it looks like it might be 6mm) or is there a specific tool for this? Thanks for the help
Yes there is a special tool for that. I believe you can get it at your local parts store. Or you can do what I did. Take a deep socket and an impact gun and shoot the nut until the top hat twists too!!

Hey thanks SOHCmyDOHC,
I went to Napa, Pep Boys, Harbor Freight, and Northern Tool, and found one cheap universal kit, but it won't fit the slot because its too small. I have an impact wrench and deep socket but I'm concerned about just impact-wrenching that bolt down. Won't the shaft just spin with the bolt (like its doing now when I try torquing it to 22 ftlbs)?
