Thanks. I actually used that before posting. Unfortunately, when you end up with 200+ matching threads, it becomes difficult to wade through it all. I was wondering if there were any other sources or comparison tests, thats all.
Definitely go kg/mm race. I did and couldn't be happier. Do the install yourself for peace of mind and satisfaction. You don't need a spring compressor either. I never did a spring install before and it took me about 4 hours. You should use a Helms manual though. Hope this helps.
I just installed a set of Eibachs in my S. They were super easy to install. It only took about 45min to do all 4 including cleaning the struts off they needed it.
This is what it looks like. They need to settle a little more, but anyway.... have a look....
i was reading an old issue of SCC that my wife was about to throw out....it was the one with the Comptech and Neuspeed S2000's........
both car's had lowered ride heights and they both did worse through the slalom than a stock car......sustantially worse, actually.....
the magazine "determined" that a lowered S2000 will not handle better than a stock height S2000......evidently the ride height has a lot to do with the integrity of the suspension geometry.......
change the ride height, and the whole ball of wax goes to rat's shit.....
i have the KG/MM race springs over konis, and i'm actually thinking of putting my stock springs back in.....the ride is excellent, but i'm not sure the car is handling as well as the day i bought it....it's too tempermental.....some days its loose, some days it pushes, etc......
in watching some SCCA races that involved S2000's, i don't recall the cars being too low or slammed....they seemed to look like stock height.......maybe there's something to be said for that.....
