the magazine "determined" that a lowered S2000 will not handle better than a stock height S2000......evidently the ride height has a lot to do with the integrity of the suspension geometry.......

change the ride height, and the whole ball of wax goes to rat's shit.....

i have the KG/MM race springs over konis, and i'm actually thinking of putting my stock springs back in.....the ride is excellent, but i'm not sure the car is handling as well as the day i bought it....it's too tempermental.....some days its loose, some days it pushes, etc......

in watching some SCCA races that involved S2000's, i don't recall the cars being too low or slammed....they seemed to look like stock height.......maybe there's something to be said for that.....
Maybe you should try to find some '02 stock springs. They are supposedly a little stiffer than the '00-'01 springs.

This is what it looks like. They need to settle a little more, but anyway.... have a look....

If you have the 45 minute secret, maybe you should post a set of "DIY" instructions. Did you have any help?

I just helped install a set of KG/MM Sport's on my friend's '02, and it took at least 4 hours. The rear set was a snap, and could easily be done in 30 minutes each by 1 person. The fronts were much more difficult, and required 2 people. After popping the lower ball joint and disconnecting the end link from the sway bar, 1 person had to lift the hub assembly while pushing down (hard) on the lower control arm with his foot. While he was doing that, the other person has to perform all kinds of yoga and verbal abuse on the shock assembly to get it out. I don't thnk the front set can be done much quicker than 60 minutes each with 2 people.

The trick is to not pop the ball joint.

I can see how that would be easier, but it seems like the ball joint would not want to bend too far over. It also seems like you would still have to disconnect the sway bar end link and push down on the lower control arm to get the shock assembly off.

I jacked from the center (and it took me 45 minutes to figure out how to get the jack out when I was done). I suspect that the problem was with the spring spacers the dealer had left in (duh) - the driver's side had one of the spacers popped out, while the passenger side had them all in place. That would account for the extra 1/4" or so that I needed to clear the lower arm.

Removing the 17mm's on the top arm is the easy way. I cant imagine popping the ball joints. That's crazy.

I would shy away from Eibach, go KG/MM's or coilovers.

Eibach's are too soft IMO.
