I need to replace MY2002 my starter. When I look it up I find 3 part numbers for the starter motor assembly.

31200-PCX-A01RM
31200-PCX-A02
31200-PCX-A02RM

Are the A02 numbers for AP2? If so, why are there 2? One is $411 and the other is $240. Are the AP2 starters better than the AP1 starters? Is it a fair assumption that the AP2 starter will work with no problems on an AP1?

31200-PCX-A02 is for new 31200-PCX-A02RM is for remanufatured.

31200-PCX-A01 was superseded by 31200-PCX-A02

the starters are all interchangable, all years. They are all the same.
