I did the same test... A Velocity Stack with K&N Filter vs Velocity Stack with No Filter Vs OEM Stock Filter...

The OEM Stock Filter was dead even with the Velocity Stack with No Filter....

OEM Stock Filter FTW!!!!!

The K&N on the Velocity Stack lost power... it could have been due to the filter being dirty...

All I know is that on the Velocity Stack with No Filter vs OEM Filter, the made equal power...

Well, you didn't dyno it with a STB...that must be the problem.

how much power did it lose?

and the oem filter was CLEAN?

how dirty was the K&N filter?

nice to see our '07 are pulling strong. i noticed that the temp was colder on the v-stack pull. and they are so close that the gain could be normal variation (noise) in the dyno's repeatability. i popped the lid on mine and can feel a gain and air temp are in the 40-60's range so heat is not a problem - i like the louder intake sound as well.
