Default New bolts needed for Exhaust install?

Getting a Tanabe super racing medelium exhaust on Friday and was told I needed new bolts to install. Is this true? What bolts are needed?

spry the hell out of em with liquid wrench the night before and you shouldn't have much prob.

If they are very rusty and look like hell it might be cheap insurance though.

This is relative to a question that I have. Are the bolts on the catalyst fixed? Or they can be removed?

the bolts on the catalytic converter are pressed in but they can still be replaced.

when i put my exhaust on 2 of the 3 had to be literally broken so i tapped them out of the flange and replaced them with a standard bolt/washer/lockwasher/nut combo.

Was it hard to tapped them out? You used a lot of force to hammer them out you mean?

Same here, broke 2 of 3 when I did mine. They take a little force to knock out, but nothing a nice 5lbs hammer can't take care of .

From personal experience, safety-wire the new/old nuts to the exhaust system. The vibration/tone makes the nuts back off even with lock-washers.
