Default Baby Spare

I picked up a screw in my left rear tonight. I noticed the hiss when I got out of the car, so I decided to jack it up and take off the bad tire. I replaced it w/ the baby spare. I know the manual says not to drive w/ the baby on the rear due to possible damage to the diff, but am I correct in thinking that there is no harm in letting it sit on the spare overnight until I can take the tire to be fixed tomorrow (in a different vehicle)?

...you put the baby spare on the front tire and the front tire goes on the rear.

I think thats fine. The LSD should only get screwed up if you drive like that.

There will be no problem if you let your S2000 SIT on the spare. The damage occurs if you DRIVE the car on the little spare. The damage is caused by the difference in wheel speed that will occur if the rear tires are not the same diameter. That's why Honda directs that the little spare be fitted to a front wheel and the front wheel moved to the rear in the event of a rear flat tire.

yeah no harm if it's just sitting there.

but do NOT drive it like that. as stated, the difference in wheels spread will cause the diff to think that the smaller tire is spinning and can cause some major issues or damage.

ever notice that the S2000's front tire is the same diameter as the back? that's why they tell you to move the front tire to the back and put the spare on the front.
