Default New brake bleeding questions

I've followed wat I learned here and done good brake bleeding job until this time I tried something new!

This time I didn't put new fluid inito old fluid and bleed from there! I actually drained all the fluid out, put new fluid and then started bleeding!

I make sure no bubbles coming out for 2 rounds, but I still hit the padel to the floor easily! (not even close to prior-bleeding padel feel)

I then jack the car up and re-did it, still the same! I was doing engine-on 1st time and engine-off 2nd time! This was the first I tried engine on!

I've been using Motive power bleeder before, but I'm sure we did it right with the old fasion style this time!

The only good thing tho is that the fluid finally looks like new & light yellow color! It has always been something darker than that like light brown everytime I bleed my brake!

Since there is nothing else I can do, I then brought it back to dealer and gave them 2 bottles of Motul RBF600 in case they need that much, even tho I don't think they do cos I only drained out 300ml for the whole system!

and when I got my car back, the padel feel is back great, so I didn't check the BMC there and I didn't get any bottles back either!

until a few days later I saw that the fluid is light brown again, not freshly yellow when I brought it to dealer!

My questions r

1. how do pp bleed brake differently when they change BMC or calipers or brake lines? don't they have to drain all the fluid out like I did?

2. Honda dealer uses vacum system, does anyone know what kind they r using or any suggestions will help? I personally start to hate Motive power bleeder cos it's very messy everytime I took it off!

3. Can someone clarify the engin on & off for me?

I really hope Honda didn't steal my Motula and just use OEM DOT3

I kinda want to re-do it myself again or eventually I still have to bleed my brake in the future, so I really need some answers! Thanks!

1) When you replace the brake master cylinder it comes with instructions on how to bleed it. I believe you have to push the cylinder back with fluid in it before it is installed in the car. I forgot it's been a while. When I bleed the caliper you never let it run low or empty or because you can release new air into the system. I have a person pump the brake 3 times and hold it on the 4th one, I then release the valve on the caliper. I do this 3 times normally on each caliper starting with the caliper furthest away from the master brake cylinder.

2) I only use the old fashion way even though speed bleeders work great just don't want to spend the money.

3)I have the engine off when I do this.

Hope this helps

It's possible that you got air into the ABS unit. I believe the dealer has an electronic tool they can use to open the ABS modue to allow bubble in the unit to pass through (which you can't do at home.)
