i need new brake pads to pass my inspection honda said it would be like 400 bucks while BP said 320 and a friend said 150 to do it. who would you trust with brakes on this car. ive changed brakes on my 86 mercedes with my dad but i dont have the tools or the time to do it for my car
It is very easy to do Pads are $60 a set and like jeggy said, you only need basc hand tools.
Post for help in your local forum and I am sure one of your fellow S2000 owners will help you out for free or some lunch
I just restored a set of brakes that were looking like crap for a friend.
please do not pay someone 400 dollars to do your brakes!!!!!!! its so easy!!!!! hell the biggest annoyance, and its small in the grand scheme of things, is adjusting the parking brake afterwards, if it even needs it!!!!
do your self a favor, buy the shop manual, a small tool set, becuase your going to want to be intimate with your car. would you let someone else handle your woman becuase you werent quite sure how to do it? HELL NAW! treat your ride the same, unless she needs some serious work, let it be you handling it!
thats true... its really not worth paying someone to change your brakes. all you need is the jack to lift up your car a wrench and a C-clamp. honda brake pads are on sale on handa-accessories.com i think for like 40$ a pair or something, it'll save you a bunch of money
thanks for your help i went ahead and bought the brake pads myself and paid someone to help me all in all i spent 190 but now i see how easy it is. it sucks because i dont have a jack, so it would have been really hard using the stock jack considering i cant even get it to work right half the time
