New Clutch info
Hi well this is prolly somewhere on the site but I dont have time to look at all right now since Im in a little bit of a rush for class and I need to have an answer hopefully when I'm back. Well I purchased a used 2001 s2000 with 80k miles. And everything is fine but my dad tells me I need to replace the barrings. Now since Im opening up the transmission, i might as well upgrade the clutch since the clutch is old. What kind of clutch do yall recomment? I dont race, I might redline once in a while to feel the thrill of the car but Im a daily joe driver.

I have no idea about what kinda bearing it is. Im 400 miles away from the car since im in college right now so all im going on is what my dad says. Its a bearing near the clutch and its causing the car to make wierd noises comming from the muffler. Thanks for the advice but is there anything cheaper? Maybe around $400?

You don't have to get the whole clutch kit as sold by Hardtopguy. You may only need to get the clutch disc, throw out bearing and get the flywheel machined. Check out Hardtopguy's website for individual parts. I think you can get only those parts under your price target. This is assuming that you don't need a new flywheel and you won't know this till you have it apart and take a good look at it. Same goes for the pressure plate.
