I recently purchased an S2000. I'm looking to get a little more horsepower but don't want to do anything major like adding a supercharger. I'm looking to put in an exhaust system and a Cold Air Intake, but am nervous that it would affect the computer or cause some kind of engine light to go on. Someone told me that you have to have the ECU flashed or replaced but that makes me nervous.

I have to admit that I'm very ignorant when it comes to upgrades of this nature so if you do reply to this post please use simple English as I'm particularly dumb!!!

Thanks in advance for any assistance on this matter.

You have an 06? Not too many parts out there right now.

You can make very mild gains with an aftermarket exhaust, headers, and an intake. You should throw any CEL's with a set up like that.

I'd leave it stock and enjoy it. Any mods other than a turbo or super are pretty much pointless.

You'd be better off upgrading the tires (though the stock ones are pretty good). Maybe some RA1's?
