New Owner Question
Had my 2000 (2001 Spa Yellow) for a short while now and it has developed a weird stall feel in first. When I power off hard, it has stalled on two occasions, almost like I have hit a rev limiter. Thought maybe that was what had happened the first time, but did it again today. Is this the infamous map reset fix? Can do that asap, and almost sounds like what I've read about. Runs fine otherwise, and powers up through the gears great with good power. Just majorly bogs off the line that weird way on two occasions. Used to have a hemi dodge and it bogged some too with the 2-4's, and that's not exactly what it felt like. Almost like I had over revved in first.
Map whack reset looks easy enough. Also have the occasional shudder with the low revs too. Am I on the right track here?

What exactly are you doing? Are you accelerating up through the revs and then the engine suddenly seems to hit a brick wall and won't go any higher? Would that be around 6000 rpm? If so, you hit the cold rev limiter. The ECU will not allow you to VTEC if the coolant temp is below "3 bars" on the gauge. It prevents goofs from revving the crap out of such a high compression engine before things are adequately warmed up.
Or is it bogging down in the low rpm range? Please elaborate.
