Default Help! S2k exhaust Resonator

hey guys,

just wanna know if there is any problems with taking out the stock resonator from the stock S2K exhaust????

I like the sound of the s2k, but i wanna get a little more but not going for a full exhaust system. I thought maybe taking out the resonator would make it a bit more louder.

Has anyone done this before????

Any help would be great.

Cheers.

Not much of a problem... most places offer $40 to get it removed and welded. It give somewhat of a low drone, similar to like a 350Z i guess. I like it, i'm sure you will. You notice when u push the car around 4K the most.

Also referred to as a resonatorectomy. There have been threads about hti sin the past, with nearly everybody who did it giving it good feedback.
Lets face it, for the price why not give it a shot.

I did it about a month agao and really like it. It cost me $43 and took them about 15 minutes. The sound is just a little louder than stock and a little raspier (is that a word?)......................Best $43 I've spent and cheaper than a new exhaust system.....
