Comments like this, where you tell me to get a different car are ridiculous and down right arrogant. Why don't you tell everyone who modifies their car for more power to get a new car? There are no stupid questions, just stupid answers like this. My word!

Just because I want to change something out of the norm you feel the need to comment like this. Hmm, what's wrong with YOU?

Thanks for the speed comments, but sometimes I need to get places in a hurry ant 70mph puts me there too late.
again. the reason behind this MODIFICATION is god awful. too much noise? engine revs to high cruising on the road at 10-25+ over the posted speedlimit on the highways.

lsiten, the car is what it is. u knew this before you bought it. its a damn vert. sound will come in. if u drive with the top down, i bet your gonna complain about windnoise now.

seriously, grow a pair and expect that not everone is gonna see any positive to putting in a crazy deep rear gear that makes the car worthless without 800whp, or talking about swapping parts that will easily outcost any measureable amount of benefit.

the car is loud in every sense of the word. its a light sports car ROADSTER. trade it in for a civic.

u can try and put in sound deadener in the trunk, doors, cabin floor.

but i expect a thread a week after you do it saying how the car feels slower now becuase of the weight you added.

thats what this thread makes me think of, someone that complains about things that are truly trivial.

i can tell you even with a FULL treatment of dynamat it will not be a big reduction in sound. An OEM hardtop is a must along with dynamat to get the sound levels down.

I think someone should explain why you're getting flamed on, so I've taken it upon myself.

The S2000 is a high-revving roadster. Its going to have engine and road noise. That is the revered driving experience of the model. Its the same reason the stereo sucks and the car lacks dealer options. Its all about the ride.

To us your complaint is like buying a Harley and whining about the exhaust noise...

That being said, between this thread and:

I feel the need to refer you to:

Maybe after a little you'll have more ppl on board.

People have made good recommendations, you haven't been receptive:

- Go to a meet and take a ride in someone's HT. See if you like it.
- Sound deadening does wonders.
- Slow down and do 5-10 over the speed limit like the rest of us.

All light-hearted joking aside, please stop speeding. You make the s2k community look like a bunch of damn ricers and put families at risk.

Good info. I do have ear plugs but of course you cannot listen to music. I know. I want it all.
