Do you think using a similar contact cleaning spray for the insides of the turn signal stalk might do the trick before buying an actual new stalk?

you can check the stalk by testing the wires instead of taking it apart...

I also saw a thread (that I no longer can find) about the solder points on a lighting module. Could that be the issue?

Have you tried this thread with the circuit board have bad soldering???

Appearing more and more like the light stalk is the issue.

Service Manual, (all years.)

2008 Wiring Manual (but this isn't completely applicable to cars earlier than 2006 which lack DRLs).

Sure did. All the solder points looked good.

*** UPDATE ***

I removed the steering wheel column surround and cannot figure out how to remove the actual turn signal stalk. I can't find any videos about it either. Can you direct me to instructions on how to do it?

Thank you!

have you tested the wires instead of tearing the car apart?
