Hey Xerd,

I'm glad someone is finally putting together a quality, affordable turbo kit. Good luck with the project.

The problem I and many other CA S2K owners have is there is no turbo kit that is CARB legal. How much red tape and money is involved in getting the certification? I know many people including myself in CA that would love to go turbo, but will probably go with comptech or vortech because of the certification. I know you guys are a small shop, however you may sell that many more kits to offset that cost and even pull a greater profit. There are more S2K's in CA than anywhere else. You guys are in CA, so I know you fell our pain. Can anything be done? At least look into the cost vs. profit!

Thanks.

Andrew Doherty,

If the RHD S2000 is the same specs as the US version and everything is in place the kit should bolt on with no problems.

9000RED,

This is something we have been thinking about lately not for just our turbo kit but for other products as well. We are going to be in the SEMA show next week (not showing) and we will look into this issue. Cant really promise anything right now but we will see what we can do.

Thanx.

As far as I know it is except the steering wheel, battery & brake servo are on a different side to the US version, the only reason I wanted to know was because a RHD turbo kit won't fit to the US spec S2000 "or so I am told" by most of the guy's on here.

Just wondering does it make a difference if the turbo is mounted on the top of the manifold or the bottom, the speedcraft kit is a bottom mount and the Hypertune is a top mount does anyone know why this is Pro's/Con's I just don't know????????????? (so XERD top or bottom )

Update!

The 03 S2000 is in and will be getting it tomorrow from the Honda dealership. We will start working on this project right away and hope to release the kit before the end of the year.

To keep costs down as much as possible we are going to built a kit that will work with the stock motor, there wont be any need of a new headgasket or a new fuel pump or anything of that sort. The only thing you will need that will not be included with the kit is an air fuel controller to tune the car.

The kit will not be released with more then 5psi for maximum safety. We want to build something that everyone will be able to bolt on and use as a daily driver while still getting the benfits of a turbo system. For those who will want more power it will be up to them to get a boost controller and raise the boost. The engine can take up to 9-10psi with no problems however for extra safety it will only come with 5psi.

The kit will be good up to 450HP, how to get it there will be up to the customer. We wont release any information about what turbo we will be using until we are ready to release the kit.

Next week while at the SEMA show we will look into getting the kit CARB certified but no promises.

We will try to keep the price in the low $4,000, it will all depend on how much interest and kits we can sell.

Thank you very much. Art

We didnt buy a car. We are working with a Honda dealership on this project, they were more then happy to let us use a brand new 03 S2000 for the project, they are also paying for the parts.

Hope that cleared up some questions.

Thanx.
