300 US bucks won't buy you many HP. But within this limit is a CAI - probably an Injen or AEM - might buy you 10-15 HP (maybe).

 

i'm thinking about changing my Air Filter(Air cleaner) to spoon AP1 .....
anyone know how much diffrence or horsepower gain i get??
Is it worth changing it???

xviper, are your horses measured differently in CA? I don't recall seeing any plots that optimistic on CAI gains.

from my experience with other imports besides the S,
300 dollars will get you intake, cheap header, or a muffler. each of which, will maybe, MAYBE get you 5-8 horsepower of which you MIGHT feel but more than likely you will feel the ever wonderful placebo effect.


IMO I would enjoy the power you have for now and save for a big dog like a SC or turbo or maybe a squirt of nitrous. If you've only had it for less than a month and you are already wanting more power, you probably got the wrong car.
