NGK Spark Plug info.
ok, question.
I pretty much have a stock MY05, exception of exhaust. (intake soon)
I have been reading and people recommend going 1 step colder on a stock engine. I am about to get some plugs but I don't really know if i should go one step colder or not, or even iridium vs platinum.
If iridium is fine should i get 7746 or 5068?
Also wtf is all this talk about crush washers and the spark plug getting loose? Do i need to worry about that with 7746 or 5068? Or should i get a different plug all together?

If you buy them at a parts store, they'll be gapped at approximately the correct gap. Therefore checking them and adjusting the gap accordingly is wise. However, as mentioned before, be VERY careful when gapping these plugs so you don't knock the little platinum pads loose. Stock gap is .044".
That's what I had assumed.. Fantastic!! Thanks so much for your response to my question on an OG-thread, that's been buried for 2+ years!!! :-D Cheeers to you man!
Thanks and have a great Turkey Day bro!!!

i'm still confused about the iridium 7746 model...is that better than the oem 7772?
or just a publication error...since it was fixed in the 07-08 catalogue?
