Default Nitrous express setup, how does it work?

I'm planning on having my local speed shop install a direct port nitrous express kit, but how does it work. I know how direct port works, but how does the nitrous express setup control the delivery and cut-off to the engine?? EX: Zex has the "smart" system, which basically comes on and cuts off at a pre-selected rpm for a pre-selected gear. Same way?? Thnx,

Brandon

Hey listen I had a local speed shop here install direct port nitrous made by NOS they did a 130 shot and my engine lasted 2 weeks before it blew into pieces. It leaned and starved my pistons and I didnt know any better dont let it happen to you.

Well, i'm only using a 50 for sure. Plus, i don't think i'd spray unless i'm at the drag, and maybe once a month on the road. Also, i'm not gonna even touch it until i have it dyno tuned so i don't run it too lean. Any help with the origonal question.... anybody!?

I don't know where your getting your info, but the lowest you can go is whatever the kit offers, limited usually(allways?) by the size of the nozzle. The nitrous express direct kit for a 4cyl is variable from 50-75-100-150 and 200. Of course you dont want to switch settings as you wouldn't have it tuned which would be asking for problems.
