I've been running a test pipe for about 5,000 miles, and the CEL has NEVER ever come'on....even after numerous ECU resets. Should this be a cause for concern? Bad sensor? Bad ECU perhaps?
No electronics for the CEL btw.

 

Wow that is odd, I had a test pipe on my Integra and imidiatly got a CEL. But since i have only had the s2000 for 36 hours im not quite an expert on it yet. Mabye xviper can make a comment.

 

Mabye you just recieved a Mugen ecu from the factory Honda is so nice

 

Well if i did get a Mugen ECU, it ain't doin' squat, except not giving me a CEL. ::

 

it took mine about 600 miles to come on.......so maybe your reseting your ecu just befor it comes on????

 

No, I don't think so. Sometimes I've driven it for months before resetting.

 

I've been running a test pipe on my CRX for a couple of years and have never had a problem w/ a CEL. I know it's not the same car, but somewhat similar set ups. It runs 2 O2s, one before the cat and one directly in the test pipe. I never questioned it.

Just thinking aloud, but maybe it's because you have a '00. We all know that in '02 they changed the ECU. Anyone else with a 00/01 running a test pipe w/ no CEL?
