They look a little burnt but not damaged or anything just a little black in areas.

Yes. Luckily, cams and rocker arm assemblies usually go for about $200 on the forum. As long as there is no other damage.

If the cam wheel bolt was lose, its very possible to have damage to the bottom end and the head. Double check the cam wheel bolt, check if there are grinding marks around it, I would also double check the bottom end.

There are no grinding marks and I don't know if the cams are spinning I had already taken them out because I was going to take the head off. I hope the cams are not trashed I have Toda cams meaning expensive ones. I am almost positive the TCT failed. Before I knew the timing jumped the car was having a problem with stalling when I would come to a stop. Did it a couple times and sounded almost like a dead battery when trying to start back up. Finally died one more time and just wouldn't start back up.

If timing did truly jump, that would most likely explain why you were getting no compression readings. The valves aren't actually closing enough to build up compression. Hopefully you luck out and can get by with just a head build. I'd definitely pull the head as you have planned as there is a chance you had piston-valve contact. I'd just rebuild the whole thing with a nice Supertech or Ferrea valve train since you track the car and call it a day (as long as your bottom end checks out too).

The other day I was sitting looking at a Acura TL piston and noticed the way it was cut on the top. It had this angle cut so that there would be no piston and valve contact. I'm just wondering why didn't Honda do this with the s2k pistons?

The S2000 motor is a high compression motor in which piston design is crucial. The reliefs for the valves vary due to many reasons. If you have one whole half of the piston cut off completely for valve reliefs rather than the normal dimples of the S2000 pistons, you will have a serious loss of compression, resulting in poorer performance.

Ya the timing jumped the honda dealership where I live has a guy from Japan who worked on helping with the s2000 and they had a translator tell me he said that the timing jumped. So hopefully it didn't do too much damage. Like I said in earlier post the head was already built with good parts like Toda cams and I'm pretty sure there were valves and springs and other stuff in there. The guy I bought the car from did it right I know that much he used to track it and have spray so I figure he had to have the head built and forged pistons which I'm pretty sure are Toda too. Anyone have an idea as to how much it would cost to get the head rebuilt if the bottom end checks out ok?
