No Oil in S2000!!

Check it at every fill up of gas...do not allow a warranty claim be invalidated by this simple step. Honda has been fairly reasonable about some of the failures...we don't know if loss of oil is the result of the engine failure or causes the failure...
Do a search on engine failures.
I guess it's too late now for "broken_S2000" but something that I do and tell everybody I know is: With a vehicle that is new to you (new or used), the oil should be checked frequently (with increasing time interval for subsequent checks) till the oil consumption has been determined. If this means each morning at first, then so be it. Once you know at what rate it uses oil, you can moderate your checking to a more appropriate interval. To not check oil on a high performance car during a 3 month period is very "imprudent".

Yeah, I thought I was lucky too till one day I wiped the dipstick clean and put it back it. Guess what? It was missing a quart of oil. I was monitering the oil level on a daily basis when I bout the car new. Untill 3500 miles, it showed no signs of oil consumption so that got me worried. So I tried cleaning off all the oil deposits that sit between those "X" marks (bad design) on the dipstick and dipped again, it showed MIN!! Be careful guys, if you think you're not burning oil, think again and be sure otherwise...

you are lucky, 1 qrt is actually not that bad,.. since we have to put in 5 qrts anyway.
now if you were down over 2 qrts, then HOUSTON we have a problem
Up until my first oil change at 7500 miles I burned 5 full quarts
I'm very glad I was on this site to know how this car burns oil unlike many others I've driven. Telling the guy after the fact that he should have read and obeyed the owner's manual is pointless. I think I read somewhere in the manual that a walk around inspection should be carried out prior to each drive as well, but how many of us do that?
Maybe check the doors for new dings, but not much else.
Hope things work out for you and your warranty is upheld
