At TDC on cylinder 1 (front of engine) the marks on the cam chain sprocket (mostly hidden below your straight edge) should align with the cylinder head surface and cam marks just above your straight edge should point directly at each other. I can't see the cam chain sprocket thru your hand and the straight edge is hiding the cam mark on the cam on the left in the photo.

I think I'm going to move the exhaust up to the intakend mark. Not sure which cam I should be moving. Intake is high, exhaust is low ... which one is right?

I cannot see any reason why your timing would not be correct from an engine that was pulled out of a wrecked car that was running, but anything is possible. I would pull both cam sensors and clean the tips, have seen this issue before. Good luck.

Need a better pic as mentioned by Chuck.

It does not look off.

Make the camwheel marks level.

Then getvthe camera a little lower to take the pic. No straight edge needed.

I actually figured it out. Car was an AP2 2004 bUT the guy put 06+ sensors and I guess tuned it with kpro or something. So I had to swap all the triggers, not fun.
