Default Noise after replacing softtop

something is rolling above my head and its driving me nuts.

when i make a turn i can hear something traveling from one end of my top to the other. it seems like something is loose within the bars that are part of the soft top. it sounds okay on straight line but when i make a sharp turn or make a turn, something above my head just rolls from one end to another.

anyone with similiar problems?

I bet it is a rivet trapped in the frame.

It's a rivet stuck in the bow. You can pull the end caps off the bow and blow them out.

Slows2k --- thank you, thank you. I have the exact same noise after a warranty replacement of the top. It was driving me nuts.

the fix was very easy. thank you guys, i would have had to gone to the dealer again if it wasn't for s2ki.com

just pop out those plastic end caps with a knife and you're all set to go

Allstar, thank you so much for asking this question....

My car has done this ever since I bought it 2 years ago. Somehow I thought the only way to get the old rivets out was while you were replacing the soft top. It took me 2 minutes to fix this.

I can't believe it was that easy!!

i have the same noise in my car...i take my ht off on nice days and am too lazy to put it back on so i hear the rivet rolling around all the time...i took one out and thought that was it, then this morning i heard another one; i pop the end cap off and continue driving. 5 mins later i take a right turn and bam, rivet hits me in my head
