Default Noise Under Braking - Plot thickens

Hey all,

As some of you are already aware, i've got a funny noise coming from the rear passengers side under braking & wonder if anyone else has had the same problem or could give any advice?

The details of the noise are as follows:

- The noise gets worse/louder/more noticeable the warmer the brakes get.

- It is definately coming from the rear passengers.

- Doesnt make a difference flat or bumpy road.

- Only occurs under braking

- Sounds like a clicking noise where at one point on the rotation of the wheel is hitting/clashing with something. Almost sounds similar to when you have a nail or stone in your tyre. Its hard & it may be me, but could be a slight creaking sound as well, but could be wrong.

- The noise happens whether braking slowly or aggressively. Doesnt appear to be anything linked to the roll of car/learn forward under braking.

- Still makes the noise when braking up & down hill.

Not sure what else to say really?

Any help or pointers appreciated.

P.S. - To all that have read/commented on my other post, thank you all very much for your comments & my apologies for lack of patience on occasions. The reason for this post is so that i can interogate a 2nd vehicle inspector with as much ammo as i can. I've got quite a lot of info on the clutch/gearbox info, just need some for this prob now

Once again thanks all.

Mine did this when the RR axle nut got loose, have you checked or re-torqued it? They get loose when the bearing starts to wear, you can tighten them up and make the problem "go away" for a while but it usually comes back as a complete bearing failure.
