is this normal for the engine?

Default is this normal for the engine?

this is a pic of the engine bay of a S2k im considering buying, looking at it ive noticed the "stain" between the block and head .... is this something i should be worried about ? we are goin to run a compression and coolant test on it before i pick it up but im looking for a headsup or a dont worry .

It is actually the timing chain galley on the other side of the stain, and yes it is common, and there is nothing to worry about.

Thanks, just was curious if i should have been worried,

When im compression testing it , is there a EFI fuse or something to disable the fuel and spark ? or how do i go about disabling teh fuel and spark so i can test it ?

Pull the fuel pump fuse. With the spark plugs out of the engine, the coil packs will be out too and won't be hooked up with their corresponding wiring harnesses. You won't have to worry about spark.
