Default not running right...

so ive been having a problem recently with my 2001 s2k. a little backround, i purchased the car last year and drove it through out the summer it ran great, i put it away in november for the winter. i pulled it out last friday and it seemed to run great that night. the next day the CEL came on for cyl 2+4 misfire and p1399 was pending. but it still seemed to run great. i decided to erase and chalk it up to it just sitting. well the next day the light came back so i decided to switch around the coils and it started running super bad. i replaced all coils and plugs and it started and seemed good again. pulled it out of the garage and drove it through first gear and when i pushed the clutch in it died. it started right away. along my drive it died about 8 times coasting to a stop in neutral. it restarted each time. eventually it stopped dying and i thought all was good but later just idling in a lot it died. now it hasnt died again but i havent driven it alot. i thought the cat was maybe clogged because of the misfire but i replaced it with a test pipe and it didnt get any better. i cant hear vtec engage and it doesnt pull and around 8k rpm its like it hits a rev limiter. really at a loss here. what should i do next? thanks for any advice.

Check compression? Torque on new spark plugs?

The spark plugs were torqued and properly gapped. Also forgot to add in that I did use stabilizer in the car before stored.

Even though you added fuel stabilizer it does seem strange that it would start running poorly after storage. Have you actually gone through a tank of gas? Obviously if you haven't you should wait until you get some new gas...

Otherwise just follow the misfire thread and start troubleshooting. Don't buy anything I'd you don't have to. It's not likely your compression changed during storage so I would continue with injectors/fuel... Wait for codes to come back so you can see if the cylinders change when you swap components.

Seems like you didn't let the ECU re-learn idle, which happens when you disconnect the battery.

I went through 3/4s of a tank and then added fresh gas because I was concerned about the possibility of bad gas which didn't help anything. And i did let it relearn idle both when I pulled it out of storage and after I cleared the codes
