I found a digital copy of the service manual with all the electrical specs. I will let you know if I need the sensor. Thanks a lot

Cool , just keep in mind if it references terminal or wiring side for pin outs . Sometimes it switches things up .

well i did all the testing and the wires and sensor ended up good. i decided to pull the valve cover and found that the bolt for the camshaft gear was loose and the cam is seized and had destroyed the caps :/ i imagine i bent some valves as well. so i basically need a new cylinder head correct?

You may need a new engine, you'd have to look in there with a boroscope to see how the cylinder walls look, or if the valves are destroyed. If the valves are ok you may get away with a new matching set of cam caps and cams.
