Get one of these from Autozone...


You can open/close the gap and check with the wire to make sure it's exact.

Make sure that you get the right size gapper... They come in different size ranges and you want to make sure you get the one that has the range you need.

thanks ppl! excellent write up xv.. i guess i shoulda checked that thread first

Any alternatives to iridium besides copper? Does any one make Platinum plugs (oem is platinum, right?) for our car that is 1 step colder?

I'd like to see what everyone else runs if not copper or iridium.

I should have also mentioned that for about the first year I had the Vortech on, I was running the OEM plugs (re-gapped) without any issues at all. I'm sure if you wanted to go Platinums, you could cross reference one that is one heat range colder.

I use NGK R5671A-8 plugs. They run a little colder
