O2 sensor
First off...this car has ONE bank only...Bank 1.
Bank 1 sensor 1 is before the cat (in this car it's in the header)
Bank 1 sensor 2 is after the cat (in this car its in the cat...after the catylist media)
Lack of a 02 spacer in the rear O2 will not throw any specific sensor code...ever. It will throw a code P0420 for inefficient CAT. This code does not imply there is any issue with the O2 sensors. The issue is what they see. The spacer makes the ECU think the cat is working.
As far as your code P0135, it is for a heater circuit malfunction in the PRIMARY, or front o2 sensor.
It is DEFINITELY a bad front o2 sensor, or the wiring to that sensor, or the ECU. Something tells me a new honda front o2 will fix you right up.
If you clear a code, and it immediately comes back on. you have a dead fault (also known as a fast code). NO driving will fix it.
If you clear the light, and after a certain amount of miles it comes back on, you have a fault that the ECU determined it needed to MONITOR to determine it as a fault. Also known as a slow code.

What happens more is the o2 sensor comes with no connector on it and it's wired wrong (matching wire colors does not always work), or falls out of the sensitivity level of the ECU. The ECU is pre-programmed to see that front o2 work and read in a specific way. If it doesn't, it will consider it a fault and trigger the CEL.
Don't mean to thread jack but I did not want to start a whole new thread when I have a similar issue. Here is my problem:
I have a CEL for P0131. I have a header on the car, but it has been installed long before the CEL. I removed the o2 sensor, cleaned it and cleared the CEL (I know I shouldn't have cleared it). Anyway, I went without a CEL but weeks later it returned. I assume I have a "slow code" as Billman250 described. Any advice on what my next move should be?

What is the code? There are a few codes that the o2 can set. The heater code p0135 o2 sensor 1 will come back on within 30 seconds because it always monitored (Continuous). Other codes take some driving to set. First step get the code
