Default OBD port... missing?

Went and got my 2007 S2000 smog-tested in MD this AM. Three techs, with the help of a photo of where to look from their system's computer, could not locate the OBD port to do the test, so they gave me an automatic "pass". It's supposed to be in the RH footwell, according to them. Is this common?

Not that I care right now, but if the car ever "throws a code" it would be good to know. Think I'll have a few beers and once I cannot feel any back pain, nose around under there myself.

Early ('00, '01 at least) had the port in the RH footwell. Later models, like yours, have it in the LH footwell.

search is your friend, my friend

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...c=342897&st=0&

but i'm bored, so i did it for you. this time.

"00-01 Models are on the passenger side of the console, just like the picture above.

02 and newer cars are on the driver's side, of the console.

If you look at the bottom cover of the steering column there are written directions where to find the OBDII ALDL/diagnostic port."

No, search is not my friend, it was "unavailable" for the gazillionth time.

Anyway, in two years for the next test, their problem not mine; if I need the location for myself -- thanks.

auto pass sounds better than telling them where it is
