Default OBD2 port not reading

Hi.

This morning I tried to turn my car on but it would just crank over.
The usual lights turn on the dash but now including the VSA and what seems like the EPS light while cranking.
After a few attempts the MIL would light up so I plugged in my diagnostic tool but it doesn't turn on.
Cigarette lighter is working so it's not a fuse.

I have a '07 that I daily drive. I did add a new exhaust this weekend so I'm going to look under the car if I disconnected/dented/cut something. I also installed my passenger seat yesterday, plugging in the seat harness without disconnecting the battery.

Disconnected the battery after failed attempt to start up.
Still, nothing.

Any help is appreciated.

I didn't have time to completely diagnose this morning because had to get to work after a 3 week vacation.

****SOLVED. Blown fuse.

I would unplug the ecu.. wait a few min and plug all the plugs back in and try to restart the car. Also try and unplug the pass seat after you unplug the ecu. Pass seat might have a short in the wire that's messing with the ecu.

Thanks. Sounds like a bad ground. Just need to find it.

I'll try those steps also.
