Default Oem hardtop

Hey guys. I've just bought an OEM hardtop and planning to install it this weekend. I have a few questions. After installing the hardtop kit will i still be able to open and close the soft top? and does anybody know any easy "DIY" links on installing the OEM hardtop for the first time? Is it hard to do? Thanks guys

There should be an instruction manual included with the hardtop.

Yes, you can open and close your soft top. You just need to remove the hard top (four latches, it's quick release and takes 30 seconds to remove).

The bulk of the installation time is installing the catchers (receiving end for the posts). Once the hardware is in, putting the hardtop on and taking it off is a snap.

Some of us run hardtops in Winter (or summer in AZ) and take it off for the better months.

when you remove the rear panels and see the bolt holes on either side you may be able to figure it out by simply looking at it. When I had mine done it was actually quite simple. The arduous part was adjusting everything. On my my00 there were two thin metal plates, 1 on each side, that had to be removed. Thats the only tip i can offer as i cant remember w/o looking at it

Here is a .pdf detailing the 2007 procedure (probably 2006 is very similar): http://www.jayhondaaccessories.com/Accesso...000/Hardtop.pdf
