Default oil additives

hi

got tired of hearing grinding and noises form the tranny, my gear guy told me to use liqui moli gear additive and gear oil as it has gear healing capabilities,

basally u have to add 2 tubes of gear additive to 2 liters of gear oil,

after using the oil and additive for one day i couldn't find any thing

different!!

called my gear guy up again and he told that i have drive the car for a week or so to let the additive work

is this true?? and what do u think abt this product.

I think you just threw some money out the window.

What is the tranny doing ?, there may be a way to correct it but it doesn't involve additives.

my opinion is those additives are generally snake oil and don't really help anything. also i don't see how an additive can magically 'heal' your gears.

I believe the last issue you describe is a bad throwout bearing.
