Not to hijack the thread but, do you know how long the OEM filter will last?
The OEM filter is a very good one and does its job well.

Not sure how to answer, but from reading some older posts from guys like Road Rage and xviper, you could easily keep the filter for maybe 2 OCI's. But as cheap as they are, it shouldn't be an issue to change the filter with every OCI, assuming your OCI's are fairly accurate.

oil filter goes 2 changes, 15K or if you drive in sever conditions just two changes. You'll note the honda manual says change oil ever 7500 and oil filter every other oil change.

Anyone changing their oil early is fooling themselves. go the 7500 on syn or further. Dino oil stick to the 7500 or when your car tells you to change the oil.

Any 'feel' you might have is largely in your head. You might however notice some oils keep your motor quieter than others - thinner vs. thicker. To 'feel' the amount of resistance difference we're talking about would be near humanly impossible. Unless you were going from a 40/50 weight down to a 30 weight.

Just an FYI for you, Honda filters have FRAM internals. Not that they won't protect your motor, but from a construction materials point of view they're of the worst filters. There are much better filters mobil 1 or K&N out there for the same money.

Not the S2K-specific filter. That one is actually a good filter.

Honda Part# 15400-PCX-004 is made by Filtech, not Fram and is superior to Fram in all regards.

Everything you should know...

And the tear down/comparisons of the K&N filters don't exactly speak well for them.

Whats up guys. I have an 06 gpw. s2k with 35200 miles on the car. i think its due for an oilchange so i was wondering

what oil should i use for my mileage? I was told the dealership uses some conventional oil. so What do i use? What is recommended by s2k enthusiasts?

on my odometer it shows my oil life % and it is at 60. is this a good measure of when to change oil?
We almost have the same mileage! I have 37,961 miles on it right now. My oil indicator is at 15%. I usually change it when it hits 5%. That means I drove the car almost around 5k miles. Changing the oil at 60% is overkill. I usually use Mobil 1 5w30 with OEM Honda filter.
