Default Oil Consumption AP2 ?!

Hi All we have a Honda s2000 ap2 from 2004 in silverstone paint. About 112.000Km on it. Run (Full synthetic Castrol Edge 0w30)

I Think My ap2 takes too much oil, What's normal oil consumption on those engines in ap2 (I know ap1 had problems with it on V-tech)

Thanks for replays

i just put an Ap2 w/ 104k miles in my Ap1 and have run it several thousand miles to my first oil change with an Ap2.. my early years of Ap1 means, change the filter and rotate the oil, it drank so much during the interval between filter changes i do not feel any oil got miles put on it, it got ate..... this Ap2 is night and day different, the dipstick has stayed up in the full all the 3k miles, I open the drain and quart after quart kept coming out.. like.. all of it was still waiting to be changed like good oil should.. I am amazed... so... i would say, your Ap2, shouldn't be eating oil anything like an Ap1 did and 112km.. is kind of a fresh engine still...

96k miles here. I probably add one quart every 7-8k miles - a little bit more if I'm driving it really hard.

I have 110k miles on my '06 and I have yet to add any oil before I change it out at 7500 miles. It might be 1/4 to 1/3 qt. low at 7500 miles.

Similar finding here too. My 09 with 49K, Mobil1 0 W-30, will not even decrease one little X between changes. I check both sides of the stick.

Ditto. I use Castrol 0w-30. 100k miles. Change it when oil minder says to, rarely add any oil.

I had big oil issues on my AP1 and discovered it was a combination of a leaky VTEC Solenoid and the valve cover gasket leaking some serious oil in places I couldn't easily see. I'd start there

How much oil were you adding, due to those leaks? Engine must have been quite a gummy mess. Kinda like an old Diesel?

04 with 73,000. Original owner I vtec every day. I have used NO, NONE, NADA oil. I do my own changes with costco Chevron 10/30 wt/honda filter.... and am in Northern Calif. The car is garaged.
Last year I did 4500 miles, changed oil after 12 months, no oil use period. Usually the oil is so clear i cannot read the dipstick unless at an angle in full light.
Its a great car.
