Default Oil Jets

Hi, I just bought my S2000 its a 2002. People have told me that the Oil Jets fail on the S2000... Can anyone tell me if this is true or not and if they had a recall on them? Thanks

They don't fail.

Early S2000s had 2 hole jets. Later ones had 4.

Yours will have the latter.

They were only a problem in sustained high rev driving such as on the autobahn in Europe. Two holes didn't provide the capacity to cool the pistons.

Not really a problem in the US though.

Actually...the 4 hole banjo bolts started in mid 2002. Some early production MY02 cars still had 2 hole banjo bolts.

You can get an idea whether or not your car has the upgraded bolts by your VIN. Do some searching...the cut over VIN number has been posted a few times.
