Oil Leak - Found
Greetings Folks,
Well... they have found the oil leak in my brand new S2000 (only 200 miles on it). According to the dealer, it is a good size oil leak coming from the Front Timing Chain Cover (???) and will be fully taken care off by them/warrantee. They are also going to do a full inspection to ensure that everything else is perfect. According to the dealer, this could be related to a bad part.
I noticed this leak upon return to my home from the dealership where I bought the car that evening. The next morning I noticed that a couple of drops of oil were coming what looked like above the front of the oil pan area.
Anyone else have more insight into this and the specific part that is leaking/causing a leak?
Thanks... nico

There is a loop of sealant that is required to be placed on the cylinder head gasket towards the front end (i.e. by the timing chain). Is is logical they may want to have a look see at this area of the head gasket.

Greetings,
Well... it has been fixed. It was the front crank pulley seal and was replaced by removing the air box and working from there. Perfecty dry after logging about 75 miles this weekend. Not one spot on the ground, engine, etc. They did as much inspection as they could and verified that everything else was good to go. I am very happy with the service from Kolbe Honda regarding this.
