Did you use two gaskets? One on each end of the added piece?

Did you torque the Vtec solenoid bolts?
DONT DO IT....my broke before 7 footpound...the other 2 stretched ie about to break
It costed me 1/2 day of work to fix it

Undo your vtec solenoid bolts in turn and examine them if you think that the leak is from the solenoid. You may need to replace them with different bolts if they are "stretched".

The best time to check for leaks is when everything is cold. Reach under and around things and check with you finger. Wipe your finger after each scan. It could be the VTEC bracket but it could also be the oil feed line where it comes out of the pressure sensor area. There are several connections there and those tapered brass threads can be a problem. I know they said not to use any teflon tape, but I did anyway. I just made sure the tape was on the part of the thread away from the hole at the end and I wound the tape in the direction so you turn "into" the trailing edge of the tape. This way, there is less likelihood of tape bits getting torn off.
