Default Oil pan baffles

Does anyone have images and instructions as to how one would go about baffling the oil pan?

I will have mine off tomorrow for an oil return so now is the time to do it.

Here's a homemade baffle, 1/8 aluminum. Getting the baffle to fit tight against the inside of the pan to weld it is the most time consuming.

Thanks Slow. I'll make up a template in cardboard then use it to cut the Al.

Don't forget to make a hole for the dipstick to go through.

Yeah, that's probably a good idea.

I've had an idea. I'm going to set the sump up so it sits level and pour a liquid into it that sets firm/hard. Once it's set I will remove the moulded lump, flip it over and trace it for my baffle shape.

Any suggestions on the method? I'm thinking a layer of oil (WD40?), a sheet of cling wrap, and plaster of paris. Your thoughts?

Baffling isn't it!

The idea is to keep the oil from climbing the walls during high speed cornering. The baffles keep the oil around the pick up so you don't get starvation.

I pulled the sump and did the oil bolts today so I figured in for a cent, in for a euro.
