Hi All,

Recently purchased my 2nd s2k, and didn't notice that the oil pan / block seems to have a ghetto hookup for something that is now plugged up. The car has a lot of interesting things about it, but this detail is a little concerning. I have a feeling this engine had bolt-ons removed before the previous owner sold it. Anyway, what kind of stuff would have been hooked up to this? Also for anyone wondering, it isn't leaking even though it kinda looks like it is. So, at least I have that going for me..

 

I'm guessing oil return for a turbo.
Where is your oil filter?

The oil filter is center mounted on that giant brace that you see when you remove the stock airbox.. don't know the name

 

Yep. Oil return for turbo...also hence why filter was probably relocated as well.
