Oil pan removal
My question is related to the thread in the following link:
https://www.s2ki.com/forums/s2000-un.../#post24453730
I'm about to install a baffled oil pan this weekend. I've read in a few threads that the AC compressor bracket is a pain to get to, and that I should just get the AC compressor hanging and leave the bracket on the oil pan.
My question is:
Do I need to remove the serpentine belt, or can I just leave the belt connected and the compressor hanging there?

Leave the belt on.
You only need to remove the two lower compressor bolts. The compressor does not need to be removed.
The oil pan, and the triangle bracket with the 3 12mm head bolts will come out as one.
Anyone who said the comp bracket is a pain did it incorrectly. It is quite simple.
Once the pan is out, move the triangle bracket to your new pan.
