Thumbs up Oil Pressure

I recently had a few gauges installed on my MY06 S2000, one of them being "Oil Pressure".
When VTEC engages, I notice that the oil pressure suddenly drops from 680kPa down to 590kPa.
I am just curious if anyone can explain why this happens.

Engine oil is used to hold the VTEC actuators in place. When you switch into VTEC is like an enormous oil leak into the rocker cover. The F20C oil pump is huge compared to most other 4 cylinder engines.
