i'm pretty sure i have the updated pump as my '03 was on the ship and purchased in october 03 (last month of 03's)

There is no difference between the AP1 and AP2 oil pumps. I bought a new AP2 pump, took it apart and compared it to my 2002 pump. No difference in anything.

Hard to see any difference, hard to measure.

Nope, I measured the spring displacement with a load and they were both the same.

03 has new oil pump. thats y most of the 03 is burning f**ckin oil
