Default Oil Question

Hey guys Im sort of new to the S2000, ive owned her for a few months now and when she was first baught I gave her an oil change. I purchased Royal Purple 5w20 and everything was good to go. I checked it last night and it seemed a little low. I looked around today and could not find the 5w20 Royal Purple anywhere.
So I just got Royal Purple 5w30, will these hurt the car if I mix a quart of the 5w30 to the 5w20? I would be getting the oil changed soon, this is just to get by for now.
Thanks for the help.

Bobistheoilguy.com has awesome answers to most oil questions, but I wouldnt use Royalpurple in my S due to some of the UOAs and opinions from the experts over there.

In addition 5W/20 is not the correct viscosity for the S2000. Use 5W/30 or 10W/30.

Doesn't it say right on the oil fill cap what viscosity to use? I would think that is a good source to use to determine what viscosity to go with.

To answer your question, change you oil again and use the correct viscosity this time.

Having low oil is much more dangerous than mixing two oils of different viscosity together. This question has been asked many times, and the consensus is that you'll be fine, go ahead and top it off.

BTW, viscosity has more to do with your driving style and preference as a driver than anything else. But, choosing your own "custom" (anything other than what the manual suggests) viscosity does require extra research and reading. If you don't want to do that, I would suggest simply obeying Honda's recommendation of either 10w30 or 5w40.
