Default Alternator question

Anyone have to replace the alternator? Mine is bad and needs to be replaced. Is it something I can do myself or should I just pay a shop to fix it. .?

What symtoms are you having that lead you to want to change your alternator? Have you load tested your battery?

You need to have the charging system checked out before guessing at replacing the alternator.

remove the intake, removed belt, remove the 2 bolts hold the alternator on,
then remove 1 green plug in the back of the alt. and a ground wire. DONE

That's not a ground wire, It's a HOT wire. You are almost guaranteed to short it out with the wrench, unless you disconnect the battery
