It's not clutch buzz, as you stated "float the pedal" scenario.

If it's what I think it is, it's normal. I can get my car, and any other s2k I drive (alot ) to do it.

I'm not accelerating, nor letting the pedal up entirely, but 'floating' the gas pedal. I can almost modulate the noise now at certain speeds
Mine has done this since it was new, if I'm thinking of the same thing. It kinda bugged me too, because it does sound like something is wearing. I have no idea what it might be, but nothing has failed in almost 32,000 miles now. I can't hear it if the radio is on at all. If Billman250 says it's normal I probably won't let it concern me at all anymore. Good Luck

I found several scenarios that produced buzzes while trying to get my RPSS to buzz. Apparently I drive around them most of the time, because until I started looking for them I didn't notice; Some of 'em are pretty nasty sounding.

guys could it be the propftshaft? whatever the one connect from the tranny to the differential?

how do i verify it is the propftshaft?

let me mention this again...

it's only occur on straight flat road or going down hill and it's only happens at quarter throttle too ( all gear and same rpm range ).. but if i am going up the hill no problem at all..

thanks again!

Is it like a gargling sound? Do you have a stock intake?

hard to explain. I have a really faint gargling sound around 3,000 rpms when just cruising. I remember hearing it before I changed to aem and now again since I put the stock intake back on.

I've given up on noises with this vehicle, I've just been waiting for things to break.

I'm pretty sure the noise is normal when the ring and pinion in the diff is not "loaded" (i.e. cruising at the right amount of throttle).

I just changed diff fluid yesterday and can still reproduce that sound. I'm working on my brakes this morning and will have a test drive afterwards. I can show you that sound in my car. Let me know if you want to go for a ride.

yup, that is normal. Did you get a new tranny and clutch because of it?

yes...

my dealer say its the tranny

and when they open up the tranny
they also found the clutch disk have loss spring on them

but anyway, the noise still there after i changed new tranny and clutch.

THE interesting thing is that..
